The city of Venice, Italy invites us to wander aimlessly through quaint and colorful canals both large and small. The Grand Canal serves as a stage where striped shirts and straw hats adorn generations of Gondoliers and their hand-crafted boats. My original photograph has been transformed into a vibrant and stunning watercolor depicting gondolas waiting for excited eyes to venture into the aqua and emerald waters surrounding the city.
